CJS Portfolio

Your agent builds it. You own it.

A one-page personal site template with an AGENTS.md that any coding agent can follow. You fill in one JSON file, or let your agent interview you and fill it in. One small Node script with zero dependencies turns it into a fast static site you can host anywhere.

With your coding agent recommended

  1. Pick a theme. Open the theme tester, preview all 7 themes with your own initials, and set an accent colour.
  2. Copy the prompt. The tester writes it for you. It starts like this:
    Use theme: paper, accent: #e0301e in theseige/cjs-portfolio
  3. Give it to your coding agent. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, Windsurf or any other agent.
  4. Your agent does the rest. It clones theseige/cjs-portfolio and follows AGENTS.md: it asks for your name, links and brands, sets "theme" and "accent" in site.config.json, removes the themes you don't use, builds, checks the result (including Lighthouse), shows you a preview and walks you through the deploy. AGENTS.md tells it never to invent facts about you.

No prompt yet? Open the repo in your agent and say: Set up my site by following AGENTS.md. It sends you to the theme tester first, and uses Signal if you don't pick one.

Manual quick start

Requires Node 18+. There is nothing to npm install. Chrome or Chromium is only needed to re-render the share image and icons.

git clone https://github.com/theseige/cjs-portfolio my-site && cd my-site
# edit site.config.json: set "theme" and your content
npm run assets # re-render og.jpg + icons (needs Chrome)
npm run build    # -> dist/
npm run serve    # http://localhost:8080

Deploy

dist/ is plain static files, so any static host works. Your own server (rsync over SSH):

DEPLOY_HOST=user@your-server DEPLOY_PATH=/var/www/example.com npm run deploy

Netlify or Cloudflare Pages: build command npm run build, output directory dist. GitHub Pages, Vercel, S3 or anything else: run npm run build and upload dist/.
